- take your child to the dentist by age 1 for advice regarding diet and oral hygiene to keep teeth healthy
- if it’s been in your mouth, don’t put it into baby’s mouth. That’s how decay causing germs get into baby’s mouth
- don’t share water bottles, cups, spoons
- never clean baby’s dummy in your mouth
- the last thing that goes into your child’s mouth at bed time is a toothbrush with fluoride toothpaste
